Madhur School of Music - Hindustani Classical Vocals

Madhur School of Music (MSM) is based at Coppel, Texas and being run by Ms. Seema Bhattacharya since March 2013.

MSM is specialized in Hindustani Classical Vocals and has been coaching students in person and through remote learning. The classes include one on one learning as well as learning in a small group, whatever suits the students to keep learning a possibility for quality and cost-conscious aspirants of music. Aspirants of all ages take quality education in music through Seemaji.

Seema Bhattacharya, or addressed by her music family as Seemaji or Seema aunty is truly a mother figure for her young students. She is kind, caring and loves each of her students like her own children. We, parents feel part of the extended MSM family. Seemaji is a very talented and dedicated musician, who believes that music is part of life. She is a full time music teacher who is super flexible with her schedule. The focus is on the classical Hindustani music with importance for accuracy over speed. Seema ji's music is truly divine. She creates intricate alaaps while maintaining simplicity thus bringing out the deepest emotions of the raag. Every performance of hers is soulful and depicts beautiful bhaav as intended by the composition. Aside from her proficient knowledge of music, Seema ji is an excellent teacher. She is quick to perceive the abilities of her students and guides every student towards achieving the next milestone in their individual journey of music. Seema ji is personally invested in every one of her students and tirelessly works with them on perfecting every little nuance until the piece is mastered. Although she has a wealth of knowledge herself, she believes in empowering her students with absolute creative freedom and encourages originality. Anybody would be lucky to have Seema ji as their Guru. Her excellence in the art coupled with her unmatched compassion is a very rare find.
